pre-order is in bio!— ends on Sunday, 10/4. i’m excited to share that i’m opening pre-orders on a t-shirt and pins (in collaboration with the good people at @pintrill) for the social justice designs i created and shared last month. all net profits will go to @texas_organizing_project, an organization that organizes Black and Latino communities in 3 cities in Texas: Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio (my home city), with the goal of transforming Texas into a state where working people of color have the power and representation they deserve. there will be a link to learn more in the pre-order site. this project was/is more than just “design” for me— it was commentary on the injustices that take place in America; not just in 2020, but every year there’s ever been an NBA season (and every year before that). it’s the temporality and feeling of white amerikkka being entertained by black bodies yet not caring for black bodies. biggest of shoutouts to everyone i reached out to with questions. willing to help me navigate this whole process, for your conversations, referrals and advice. want to give a particular thank you to @harryb for connecting me with Pintrill and making these pins happen. this pre-order will end on Sunday, October 3rd. if you buy a pin with the shirt then shipping is free. it’s all for a good cause, so please share with your friends and families so that together we can create positive change for our future. thank you all ???
